ARRYTHMOGENIC RIGHT VENTRICLE DYSPLASIA IN A BOXER DOG. A CASE REPORT
Agnieszka Noszczyk-Nowak , Marcin Nowak
AbstractThe case of an 11-year-old Boxer dog with arrythmogenic right ventricle dysplasia was described. Morphological and biochemical examinations of the blood, ECG, and USG of the heart were performed. Ventricular tachycardia was detected in the resting ECG record. Echocardiography demonstrated the normal structure and contractility of the myocardium. Despite intense treatment (6 years), the dog died during polymorphic ventricular tachycardia. Histopathology permitted us to diagnose arrythmogenic right ventricle dysplasia. It is the first documented case of the dysplasia.
